Our story

How it all began

Heal From Within Wales grew from a simple belief: that everyone deserves a calm, welcoming place to slow down, feel supported, and reconnect — with themselves and with the people around them.

What is wellbeing?

It's more than the absence of stress — it's feeling balanced, connected and at ease in your everyday life.

Wellbeing is how we feel about our lives and how well we're able to cope with the ups and downs that come our way. It isn't about being happy or “fixed” all the time — it's about feeling grounded, supported and able to breathe, even on the harder days.

True wellbeing weaves together many parts of who we are. When we give each a little care and attention, we feel more whole. That's what everything here is designed to gently support.

What are healing therapies?

Calming, natural approaches that support your body and mind to relax, rebalance and rest.

Healing therapies are gentle, hands-on and holistic practices that work with your whole self — mind, body and spirit — rather than any single symptom. They're rooted in relaxation: creating the calm, safe conditions in which many people find they can rest more deeply and feel more like themselves again.

They're wonderfully soothing on their own, and they sit alongside — never replace — the care of your GP or other health professionals. Think of them as a nourishing complement to looking after yourself.

Breathwork

Simple, guided breathing to help settle a busy mind, ease tension and bring you back to the present moment.

Meditation & relaxation

Quiet, guided stillness that invites your nervous system to soften and your mind to rest.

Mindful movement

Slow yoga and gentle stretching that reconnect you with your body at a pace that feels good.

Healing therapies are deeply relaxing and support your general wellbeing. They are complementary and not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment — always speak with your GP about any health concerns.

Deep dive

All about Reiki

Reiki (say “ray-key”) is a gentle Japanese relaxation technique. During a session, the practitioner rests their hands lightly on or just above the body to encourage a deep sense of calm and balance.

It's beautifully non-invasive — you stay fully clothed and simply relax. Many people describe reiki as warm, soothing and deeply peaceful, often drifting into a wonderfully rested state. Energy flows where intention goes.

What to expect

  1. A warm welcome & chat

    We'll start with a relaxed conversation about how you're feeling and what's brought you in — no pressure, just a gentle check-in.

  2. Settle & relax

    You'll lie down comfortably, fully clothed, on a treatment couch with blankets and soft music. All you need to do is breathe and rest.

  3. The reiki itself

    Hands are placed lightly on or just above the body in a series of gentle positions. Many people feel warmth, tingling or simply melt into deep relaxation.

  4. Gently come back & reflect

    You'll have a few quiet moments to come back to the room, a glass of water, and space to share anything you noticed before you head off feeling calmer.

A typical session lasts around [ 45–60 mins — confirm ]. Reiki supports relaxation and general wellbeing; it is complementary to, and not a replacement for, conventional medical care.
